OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT

Our goal is to become Koreas foremost network research and educational center as well as a world-class institute, capable of producing experts in Comparative studies on East Asia. Our objective reflects the mission of BK21 Plus project that promotes the training of Koreas future leaders through the development of research-oriented programs and highly-specialized individual departments.

Our project team aims at (1)analyzing the phenomenon of social polarization and its accompanying problems through the studies of empirical data concerning social solidarity and mutualism of Korean society, (2) training elite scholars who can come up with solutions to Koreas social conflicts through the comparative studies on other East Asian nations such as China and Japan.
