Korean Reading and Writing


Beginners Korean Reading and Writing 

This class is a basic level course for foreigners who wish to learn Korean Reading and Writing. We expect that students will understand and make some basic sentences throughout this class. At first, students will learn the Korean Alphabet, vowels and consonants. Then using the Korean Alphabet, they will learn how to make Korean words. Words will be introduced in steps according to their frequency. Grammar will be taught according the level of difficulty: from the easier and more basic to the more advanced and difficult. Students will understand the structure of the Korean language. By facing the various grammatical patterns and practicing grammatical peculiarities within sentence structures, learners will convert their knowledge of grammar to actual linguistic practice.

Intermediate Korean Reading and Writing  

This course is designed to aid foreigners in daily communication needs in the written form. The purpose of this course is to understand grammatical structure through everyday Korean language needs, to solidify the learners' ability in understanding Korean expressions to the point where simple storybook style language can be comfortably read, written and understood; and to understand and use a variety of basic Korean expressions and unique characteristics.

Advanced Korean Reading and Writing

The purpose of this course is to help foreigners to acquire reading and writing ability in various situations in Korea. This course makes it possible for international students to read newspapers, magazines, and advertisements, and to write a complaint letter, an invitational letter, and to fill out application forms. This course reflects what students want and need to learn in Korean.
