Community Service Internship

1. Purpose : The course is is aimed at making GV International students aware of the underprivileged people existing in every community especially within the Korean cultural context. This Internship program provides opportunities for GV International students to develop communication and leadership skills while sharing culture and cooperating with various regional communities.

5. Contact Hours : 3 hours per week during the 12 week internship program

 

6. Internship Program Offered

   (1) Wonju Community Center for people with disabilities

   (2) Wonju Dining Table Community (Food service for the homeless)

   (3) Yonsei Wonju Business Incubator Center for the disabled

   (4) Yonsei Wonju Christian Hospital (Pediatrics Ward)

   (5) Wonju Children¡¯s Center

   (6) Elementary School, Middle School and High School (Teaching English)

 

7. Course Synopsis : Students will choose an institution in which they will work for three hours per week over a period of 12 weeks, under the direction of the Global Village Office. Upon completion of the internship program, students will be required to submit an internship report. Participating students must take attendance with authority of their insititution.
