The College English Department is part of Yonsei University¡¯s University College (¡°Hakbu Daehak¡±), which provides freshmen students with General Education. There are 29 full-time instructors of various nationalities who teach approximately 3,500 of the 4,000 incoming freshmen each year. The purpose of the College English Department is to teach Yonsei freshmen to think critically and communicate effectively in English.
