Masters Program
1. Courses
* Required Credits: 30 credits (10 courses)
-Mandatory courses: 6 credits (2 courses): students can choose two courses out of Comparative Cultural Studies, Quantitative Methodology For Area Studies, Research Method in Area Studies
- Major elective courses: 15 credits (5 courses): major area 12 credits (4 courses), different major area 3 credits (1 course)
- Other elective courses: 9 credits (3 courses)
* Credits can be obtained from Ewha Womans Universtiy and
* Students in their third semester can obtain credits from abroad as exchange students.

3. Comprehensive Exam
To comprehensively evaluate students¡¯ ability to research, we abolished the conventional test and adopted comprehensive test. The procedure is as follows:
(1) Students applying to take comprehensive exam should submit the name of the professor and the grade certificate of graduate school
(2) Students should submit all final research papers written during graduate school.
(3) Students should submit research plan to professor.
